Mandatory 3-month midday break starts from tomorrow in UAE

The mandatory three-month midday-break period starts from 15 June and will continue till 15 September 2016. The Ministry of Human Resources, UAE, has planned 80,000 field visits to monitor the implementation of midday break ban that prohibits any work under direct sunlight between 12.30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Airlines: To speed up cancellation refund; Give more luggage for less fare

Indian Civil Aviation Minister, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said, “We have been receiving complaints that refund of cancelled air tickets are not completed in a reasonable timeframe,” while proposing that the process must be completed within 15 working days for domestic travel and 30 for international travel. He also added that “It will be the airline’s responsibility to ensure the refund reaches the passenger on time even if the tickets are booked from travel portals”.
