Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA) announced today that the Mohammad Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) successfully carried out the first organ transplant surgery in Dubai, in collaboration with Mediclinic City Hospital. The surgery was performed on 8 June, on a 29-year old Emirati woman.
The kidney, from a deceased donor provided through KSA’s Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation, was transported from Riyadh to Dubai by a medical evacuation plane. The transplantation surgery was conducted in Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. The surgery was also supported by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and the UAE National Organ Transplant Committee.

The British grandmother has charmed the internet with her search reading: "Please translate these roman numerals mcmxcviii thank you." The search was discovered by her 25-year-old grandson Ben Eckersley who was visiting her. While looking through her computer, Ben stumbled upon what she had typed into Google. Abu Dhabi imposes airport and hotel taxes: Abu Dhabi is imposing taxes on airline passengers and hotel guests. An Abu Dhabi Government’s Official Gazette says that airline passengers departing from or transiting through Abu Dhabi International Airport will be charged an airport tax of AED 35 ($9.53) from June 30, 2016. It also mentioned about imposing a 4 percent municipality tax on hotel bills, as well as a AED 15 charge per night per room, from the beginning of this month.
Haj Camp begins today: Chartered flights for fly Haj pilgrims from 21 August: Chartered flights will begin flying pilgrims on 21 August, the Telungana State Haj Committee (SHC) in announced on Friday in Hyderabad.
