This exhibition invites visitors to experience passage, adjustability and mobility through the woks of Spanish artist Xavier Mascaro (b. 1965, Paris). Visitors can observe possibilities and meanings through the 18-meter iron ship shown at the entrance of Warehouse421, which is suitably located in Mina Zayed, inciting parallel dialogues between the artworks and the surrounding environment. Inside the exhibition are displays of 26 unique boats and documentation, along with the poems of reminiscence, survey thoughts, processes and experimentations that investigate notions of departure.

The group exhibition “Observing the Ritual” unites three distinct series by three distinct photographers to explore the spaces in which the rituals fundamental to Muslim culture occur. From communal prayer held in a secret mosque to the breaking of the fast in a family home during Ramadan, the exhibition’s contributing photographers shed light on the most intimate moments of life for practicing Muslims.

Launched in 1997 under the guidance of Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, Dubai International Holy Quran Award is going on from 6 June to 25 June. The event includes competitions to memorize the Holy Koran, and lectures on Islam and are been held at various locations in Dubai. The goal of this event is to emphasis Islamic values and celebrate it. The event has invited a number of world-renowned Islamic scholars to Dubai during these days.

A social media exhibition, Ramadanization explores artists and designers' significant memories and personal experiences of Ramadan by incorporating recognisable elements such as Ramadan musalsalat (Khalid Mezaina), the Iftar table (Fatima Albudoor), or being on one's best behaviour (Safwan Subzwari). Curated by Muhanad Ali, Ramadanization features the following artists at DUCTAC: Ahmed Bouhoulaigah, Fatima Albudoor, Amal al Khaja, Sara al Haddad, Jumairy, Khalid Mezaina, Salama Nasib, Dina Saadi, Safwan Subzwari, and Walid al Wawi.
